Abstract

In our study, we tried to explore  and describe the attitudes, priorities, language orientations of Romanian speaking population in the changing sociolinguistic situation in the country and in the Odessa region, including.  One of  the purposes of our polls is to determine the linguistic identification of representatives of Romanian nationality in the south of the Odessa region and its motives. The reasons and difficulties of interethnic communication in this territory were also investigated.

From the stories of our interlocutors it is obvious that the question of the language of the Romanian national minority remains unresolved due to the fact that the population is not educated about the language truth, and this leads to perplexities that leave their mark in the consciousness of this population.
