Abstract

The geographical situation, the motley ethnic structure of the population, the deterioratingconditions of its life and the peculiarities of the legal and regulatory framework of the state in theethno-national sphere largely determine the modern ethno-cultural and ethnopolitical situation in theUkrainian Danube. Historical and geographical peculiarities of the development of inter-rivers havealso caused the significant influence of external factors on the ethno-national situation. The ethnichomeland of the main diaspora is the states with land (Moldova, Romania) and the water (Turkey,Bulgaria, Romania) borders with the region. It is these states that largely determine the geopoliticalprocesses in the Northwest Black Sea Region and affect the social processes in the regions. Let'sconsider some details of such influences.Ethnoregion Ukrainian Danube is characterized by a rather high degree of self-regulation and self-governance in the process of resolving interethnic and ethnic problems. This is manifested not only inthe traditions of harmonious interethnic communication, the effective coordination of ethnic interests, but also in the functioning of a significant number of ethnic associations. Coordination of theiractivities within the regional region is carried out through the Association of National and CulturalOrganizations of the Odessa region.Socio-cultural boundary of the region, which is caused by centuries-old historical and geographicalprocesses in the Northern Black Sea region, is a direct catalyst for modern geopolitical andgeoeconomic changes. The relations between Ukraine and Romania have the greatest influence onthese processes. It is necessary to use complex geopolitical processes in the Northwest Black Sea Region to developand implement an effective program of socio-economic development. One of the most promisingareas is tourism and recreational activities in general and ethnic tourism in particular. It is necessaryto turn conflict-based processes around the Ukrainian Danube to the advantage of attracting touristsfrom neighboring countries to receive services in the field of tourism and recreation. The main focusshould be on ethnic tourism, aimed at citizens of Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey,Germany, etc. These ethno-national groups that have their own diaspora or take care of closecommunities of origin in the Danube and Dniester rivers, having become familiar with the livelihoodsof the population as tourists, thereby investing in its development, will be able to influence politiciansof their own states.
