Abstract

Over time it has been observed that the most efficient mode of transport is by water. Considering this, more and more goods are transported around the world by ship.  In 2020, the shipping conditions were affected due to pandemic situation and the actors involved in shipping activity like port administrations and port operators has to accept new regulations and traffic conditions in a short time. At international level were adopted new measures, both economic and operational. They have to adapt to new regulations and routes in order to ensure the goods transportation in proper conditions. In this paper we will present a comparative analysis between the level of the goods transported before the pandemic crises, considering 2019 as a reference year, and in time of the pandemic crisis, considering the management adaptability to new regulations and standards. We have tacked into consideration the legislation amendments, mobility and frontier changes, tariffs changes.
